Microplate Dimensions

The BioStack supports 96-, 384- and 1536-well microplates with ANSI standard dimensions:

• Width: 85.48 mm (3.37") ± 0.25 mm (0.015")
• Length: 127.76 mm (5.03") ± 0.25 mm
• Height: maximum 14.60 mm (0.57") to minimum 4.5 mm (with conditions described below).

These exceptions are described in the BioStack User Manual:

• The BioStack 4 also supports taller plates without lids and a special "stay-on lid" mode for certain low-density microplates.
• Low-profile microplates (also called low-volume, high-density, and half-height microplates) are supported with a Plate Stacked Height offset.
