How do I work with author or Editorial office corrections that didn't come in from TAC per the workflow?

If author corrections are not submitted via TACThe Author Center: A browser-based, automated interface for authors to deliver, retrieve, correct, and return proofs. but via email or FTP, use this procedure. It will let you upload the corrections and automatically advance the article to the Editorial Office Corrections task. In this sample workflow, Editorial Office Corrections is the next task.

To work with corrections sent via email
  1. Unassign the article and edit the Author Corrections, Awaiting Vendor, TAC task.
  2. In the Additional InfoTK section, check the Disable Reminders box.
  3. In the ARTEMIS File ManagerThe list of files organized into folders named for each task in the workflow. You can upload additional files, delete or restore files, rename file, examine file properties, view, download or include the files in Files to Send., upload the corrections file and the email (if necessary) into the Author Corrections:Orig folder.
  4. In the Remarks section, add a General Production remark indicating that the author sent the corrections back via email.
  5. Click Complete. The Author Corrections task closes and the Editorial Office Corrections task — next in this sample workflow — opens.
